Initiator of the empowerment program. Proven ability to strategically manage, plan and execute events.Research on book and information needs of the community.Organizes book events and work plan.Does the Networking with relevant institution & stakeholders on information sharing and dissemination.Maintains and updates documentation databases. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.Has the ability to make kids enjoy reading books for fun.

HUBERT SCHWARZ

Hubert, originally German but spending a great part of his life in France has a lot travelled to Africa and other destinations in the past and finally cought the "African virus", meaning he realized that Europeans have got the watch but Africans have got the time. After having different sponsorships for girls in Tanzania and Kenya with international organizations like PLAN and making friendships with local people, he immediately joined Caroline when she came up with her idea of this solidarity and educational project. He also likes to participate in the fieldwork, especially for the entertaining part with the kids, i.e. in playing different kind of games or practising sports, learning Swahili language from the kids and teaching German or French in return to them, exchanging about various cultural issues etc.

Demonstrates effectiveness in mobilizing , developing and conducting programmes . -Has understanding , patience, sensitivity and proven social and communications skills of working with young children. -Ensures smooth running of club activities through coordination.

Team Work at its Best

CAROLINE AND HUBERT are the co-founders of the project. Hubert covers the administrative and treasury tasks enabled by the management skills acquired through his professional work of more than 30 years in internationally operating companies in Europe.
Together with Caroline he links to build up effective partner relationships but with his own focus on the financial resources for the program by the way of finding donors or sponsorships from outside of Kenya.
Caroline does mainly the networking as she has the required background and experience by her work in library service for so many years.

CAROLINE AND EMILY have worked in the Library Sector for many years and thought of embracing this concept as a brilliant idea for rural Communities who are helpless and in dire need of information.
They have demonstrated passion and commitment of changing lives of others through reading especially girls for the better and inspire others the same.
Through their long-term experience, they work on a wide range of reading activities, including implementing programmes for children and youth that create awareness messaging on various issues affecting the community.
